CHUTNEY: We love it! This sweet sour relish (a variety under the name) is widely diffused almost everywhere, revisited by stellat chefs. As a matter of fact it is 100 per cent Indian, originally “chatny” from catna (in hindi =to lick). I recommend”saunth ki chatny”, you can try your hand and create freely. Here are the ingredients tamarind paste,hot peppers, ginger,salt sugar, coriander leaves, kalonji seeds, fennel seeds,kumin, brown sugar, apple vinegar, pepper….the quantities to your taste! Good with grilled meats or grilled vegetables:it is just a suggestion there are a variety of different chutneys with mango, apples, all sort of vegetables and spices: sweet or very strong and spicey!
