Apple Pie di Sylvia Garda
Let’s make it simple. Just buy a roll of pastry at a supermarket. Lie the pastry into a pie dish, cut a strip to go round the edge of the pie dish. In the mean time prepare the apples, sliced and marinated in a little water and sugar. Arrange the apples on top of the pastry and cover with the remaining pastry to make a lid over the pie. Pierce the lid with a needle. Brush over the pastry lid with water and sprinkle with caster sugar and bake it in a fairly hot oven for twenty minutes, lower the heat and cook for another twenty minutes. Eat warm with plenty of cream.
